Product Description: WILKOPON products are two-component epoxy- polyamide coatings providing very good chemical and abrasion resistance, coupled with excellent moisture resistance and superior adhesion to steel and concrete surfaces.
Principal Use: Industrial applications including tanks, vessels, concrete and equipment where moisture and chemical resistance is required. (Note: if UV resistance is required, top coat with WILKOTHANE).
Industrial: A protective coating for most steel, casting and aluminum surfaces supporting a finish rating of ISO12944 – 5 (C4/C5). See Data Sheets for additional information.
- Conventional Solids – Excellent primer at lower cost.
- High Solids – AIM Compliant, Low VOC
Benefits: Good adhesion to minimally prepared surfaces, good chemical resistance and moisture resistance. Good Film Build.
Drawbacks: Not recommended for color and gloss retention, not UV resistant
Product Description: Epoxy Novalac products are very high solids two component fiber glass reinforced phenolic novolac coatings providing exceptional Thermal Stability with superior Chemical and Salt Spray resistance.
Principal Use: Industrial applications including transportation, construction equipment, pipes, vessels and tanks where superior performance and chemical protection is required. They are especially suited for use as an internal Tank Lining for immersion service of salt water, crude oil, diesel fuel, gasoline and other products.
Benefits: These coatings can be applied Direct-to-Metal so there is no need for a primer which saves material cost and application time. They surpass conventional epoxies for chemical resistance and toughness. They are also capable of 300F continuous operation and intermittent spikes of short duration up to 400F with low VOC’s under 1.0 lbs/gal.
Drawbacks: Short pot-life
Industrial: A protective coating for most steel, casting and aluminum surfaces supporting a finish rating of ISO12944 – 5 (C4/C5I/C5M). See Data Sheets for additional information.
Epoxy phenalkamine coating is designed for direct application to metals following the removal of loose rust and scale. It is an ideal coating in areas where temperature is as low as 0°F. Recommended as DTM for all structural steel, exterior of storage tanks and miscellaneous equipment in chemical and refinery facilities. It is suitable as interior lining for non-potable water tanks.
Provides protection against fresh and salt water, as well as some petroleum products, such as crude oil. Gator-Kure has the capability of adhering to damp surfaces and of curing
underwater and under high humidity conditions. These properties make it an ideal coating for use on pipes that will be buried within a short period.
